FAMILY EDUCATION SUPPORT SERVICE PROGRAM (FESSP)

In order to support a community, the first responsibility is to those that make up the culture within that community. On a deeper level, the children that will continue the legacies are molded by family cultures and develop cycles.

Slavery’s Trail of Tears History Tour’s aim to support a process of self reflection through developing connections to the history that helped mold a culture. Liberty Memphis will engage its participants on a journey that explores Slavery's Trail of Tears.

Union Central Academy offers a unique homeschool program that focuses on providing students with a comprehensive education that is tailored to their individual needs and interests.

Professional Development

Offering tailored professional development sessions for school faculty, family centered organizations.

Education Consultation

Offering organizations support on increasing student & family engagement and support, planning after-school programs, and creating positive school culture.

EACH PROGRAM'S GOAL:

1.Improve students' academic skills, social-emotional growth, and foundational abilities including literacy, communication, and organization.

2. Provide high-quality personal and career growth resources for parents, with an emphasis on providing culturally sensitive and rigorous support, so they can improve their ability to support their children's academic and social performance.

3. Engage siblings in learning programs from PreK3 to 12th grade that will help them improve their developmental skills in the present, future, and/or interest areas.

4. Increase the efficacy of afterschool interaction by providing food and supplies. Encourage and incentivize target achievements.

5. Increase collaboration between family and school personnel through trainings, events and communication strategies Individualize educational resources to foster cooperation between schools and parents.
